Striped Bass

Heading out for an afternoon of fishing with the crew in Madill, Oklahoma was just what we needed. The weather was clear and ideal, and the team at Troy's Guide Service was ready to put us on some quality fish. March is a great time to target Striped bass and Wiper in these parts, as the warming waters have them feeding aggressively.

We started the trip off strong, working deep water with a mix of jigging and trolling techniques. The Striped bass were particularly feisty, putting up some incredible fights as we reeled them in. The Wiper weren't far behind, slamming our baits and testing our skills. It was a full-on deep sea fishing frenzy, with rods bending left and right as we boated fish after fish.

As the afternoon wore on, we switched it up and tried some drift fishing, working the banks and structure for more action. The variety kept things exciting, and everyone in the group was having a blast. Between the great fishing and camaraderie on the boat, it was shaping up to be an unforgettable day.

<div>Went "deadsticking" alone.</div><div>Caught Multiple fish ranging from 18-28".</div><div>Kept 4 for my own dinner and relased the rest.</div><div><br></div><div>Deadsticking is a very fun and very unique experiance if you've never tried it before!!!</div><div>&nbsp;Deadstick bite will be over once the water warms up and we transition back into bait, so get it while you can!!!</div>

<div>Striper deadstick bite was slow, so we moved into live bait.</div><div>Fishing was excellent with a wide variety of fish being caught.&nbsp;</div><div>34#'s of fillets headed to the freezer !!!</div>

The weather was perfect as we set out on the lake today - clear skies and a gentle breeze that made the water calm and inviting. You could feel the excitement building as Will and I launched the boat and headed out to our first spot. These lake waters always have such a peaceful, serene atmosphere, and I knew we were in for a great day of fishing.

Will and I started off slow, taking some time to try different lures and see what the fish were biting on. The key was staying patient and focused, working different sections of the lake until we started to get some action. Sure enough, it wasn't long before Will hooked into something good. The fight was on, and you could see the concentration on his face as he reeled it in. When he finally brought it to the boat, we both let out a cheer - a nice solid s! It was a great start to the day, and I knew this was just the beginning.

As we continued exploring the lake, the catches just kept coming. There were a few good-sized g that put up an impressive fight, and then we moved on to find some f, o, and e. Every time one of us set the hook, it was an adrenaline rush. The lake was so peaceful and beautiful, but the water was alive with activity, and we were right in the middle of it all. I loved seeing the excitement on Will's face as he mastered each new technique and celebrated another successful catch.

By mid-afternoon, we had a nice variety of fish in the livewell, and the smiles on our faces said it all. This was exactly the kind of trip I love to share with my customers - a chance to truly connect with the water and the wildlife, to test your skills, and to create memories that will last. As we headed back to shore, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and appreciation for these special lake waters.

<div>Took my Wife and daughter out this morning after some BIG fish. &nbsp;Caught three Overs, lost one.&nbsp;</div>

<div>Cold windy day made &nbsp;for some tough fishing, but we caught some very nice fish !!!!</div>

<div>Artificials trip. &nbsp;We casted A-rigs onto structure and trolled crankbaits. &nbsp; &nbsp;Wind and rain made for a tough bite.&nbsp;</div>

<div>Not a numbers day, but we definitely got our overs. &nbsp;I had a strange &nbsp;feeling &nbsp;when I got in the boat this morning, it was gonna be a dinks for numbers or catch and release bigs and my guys wanted lures.&nbsp;</div><div>Wound up trolling some saltwater plugs for our overs. (Thanks to the friend who turned me onto those!)</div><div>&nbsp;Biggest of the day went 12 and our smallest was 4.</div>

<div>Two trips this weekend, one was a "combo" trip.</div><div>Freezers were filled and drag was stripped !!!</div>

<div>Hit the water after work and took some coworkers from my other job out, no wind made the fishing tough, but we put some fish in the boat.&nbsp;</div><div>Pink flukes with any brightly colored 2oz head were the ticket.&nbsp;</div><div>Best bite was 40-50 FOW targeting suspended fish at 25-35'&nbsp;</div>

What a day! Had a 3/4x3/4 mile school to ourselves today, nothing big in it, but tons of action all morning long here on Lake Texoma!! The Striper Fishing has been really good for the past few days!
